Premake Viscose Shapes for Felting

Very grateful when I ask for a solution, and it appears so quickly. I was trying to make prefelt feathers for a scarf and was putting the viscose on pieces of commercial prefelt. I made some and set them aside to dry – came upstairs to wait a bit, and hopped on the computer.

Two Russian Artist’s videos into my break, and a solution was playing right in front of me! Lay the viscose out on laminate wet it and cut it out. Then I can add the details!

I used commercial prefelt for the base. Then I took viscose paper I made … all the fibers going in one direction … cut it to the width, and then cut that in half down the middle and flipped one side … so the fibers are going the correct direction for a feather. It worked!

If you haven't seen what Craftsy teaches yet, join ... it's only $2.49 (or less sometimes)!
