what I love COURSES – Karen’s Recommendations

Camaj Fiber Arts  – Loved this course. Very comprehensive. Mary Egbert is the wool scouring Queen, but also teaches spinning, dyeing, carding, and combing! If you are new to fiber arts, or just some parts … you will get a ton out of this course.

Craftsy.com – If you are new to fiber, Craftsy is a great source of education. I learned how to use my Rigid Heddle by watching Deborah Jarchow’s Start-Up Class. They also have Spinning Wheel classes with their membership. Often you can sign up for less than $5, after a year the price will increase. At that time, you can decide if it is worth the full price. I think it is!

LongThreadMedia.com – They publish great magazines – Handwoven, Little Looms (Rigid Heddle & More), Spin & Piecework. I subscribe to all of them because I get the whole past library and their online courses – which are amazing!

Frost Yarns – Nicole Frost offers all her fiber tutorials online for free (Donation-based) on Instagram and Youtube. She is a professional dyer and offers amazing advice.
