I tried just placing my silk scarves in the steamer pan that I use to dye wool, and really didn’t love the way the random patterns turned out. If I wanted a fairly consistent color, I would most likely try my stock pot instead.

I have seen a bit of fancy tie-dye and thought I could use the same techniques for the scarves. I found this tutorial to make a “feather-like” design. You know I will give this one a try and look for more.
